4 small kids - both great joy and lots of funny moments, but fairly busy
Just came back from South East Asia after 2 months of travel with the family. Was a fantastic trip that we're hoping to repeat at some point when the stars line up.

I love how agents enable me to both spend time on our team deliveries with deep coding sessions and also leaves time for trying to push the entire org in a better direction on tech. I love trying to figure out what initiatives can move us as a company without having any actual authority.
Mostly working with .NET, Azure SQL Hyperscale, and ClickHouse but also Python, Queues and Streams and Data Lakes.

Still awestruck by what we can now do with agents. We're working through our backlog at work at incredible speed while also improving everything surrounding how we build software. I've personally set up agents that watch our deployment and notify us if anything is out of order, agents that help diagnose alerts quickly, agents that help manage our dependencies. All of this works on top of existing non-agentic good practices around observability, dependency management etc. No reason to have agents update dependencies when Renovate does that better, but when Renovate fails or when we see a new major an agent can help fix it or see if we can get more value from the integration.
Playing around with Omarchy - liking it so far. Planning to switch my work laptop to linux too - it just works better with modern tooling imo.

Tech books I finished recently: Managing People, Peopleware, Multipliers, Team Topologies and the Unicorn Project. About to start Alex Xu's System Design Interview book.
Fiction favorite lately: Lonesome Dove - fantastic book that I recommend to everyone that will listen.
Also read Shogun (great story, didn't love the writing style), Chronicle of a Death Foretold (didn't enjoy much even if the idea was philosophically interesting), Shantaram (enjoyed a lot) and Dungeon Crawler Carl (best silly book I've read in decades).
For the kids I've been reading Vildheks, Skammerens Datter, Kalle Blomkvist and Alle vi børn i Bullerby.
